Jerez de la Frontera has its annual Fiestas de Otoño, a three week party involving sherry, horses and flamenco.

Cascamorras
The ancient tradition of running the villan Cascamorras through the city for not having brought the image of the virgen de la Piedad from Baza. He defends himself with a wooden bar and club, before finally being carried shoulder high to the church of Santiago where he pledges alliegance to the flag.

El Grito every 16th of September is the Mexican Fiesta par excellence! On this day Mexicans all over the world celebrate Mexico's independence from Spanish rule.

Feria de Albacete
Albacete, Castilla y La Mancha. A wide variety of social activities and entertainment are provided following the annual celebration of Santa María de los Llanos. Originally conceived as a display of cattle and agricultural products, it has become a fully comprehensive "feria," a holiday period when there are all kinds of leisure activities and fiestas, including bullfighting.

For three days during the Festival Internacional de Folklore en el Mediterraneo you can experience the songs, traditions, dances, dresses and general folklore of many Mediterranean cultures. Barcelona's festival of La Merce, patron saint of the city, takes place around September 24.

Albacete, Castilla y La Mancha. With more than 400 years of tradition behind them, the Fiestas of Caudete are celebrated every year to honour its Virgin, La Virgen de Gracia. The main components are the fireworks, gunpowder, music, procession, and flower offerings to the Virgin.

La Fiesta de La Borbolla
La Fiesta de La Borbolla Mid-August to September. La Borbolla, Asturias. A colourful display of dancers and musicians sing the "ramo" in tribute to the Virgin. Then they parade around town and dance the very primitive and typical dances of Asturias.
