Festival in honour of Our Lady of the Rosary. Celebrated with a Romeria type pilgrimage to the beach, open air dances at the Moorish Castle, craft fair and cuisine in the Paseo de las Flores.

Our Lady of Martyrs
Festival in honour of Our Lady of Martyrs, the Patroness of the Alpujarra. On the 10th there is a traditional procession of beautifully decorated floats coming down the river.The fair includes a livestock market and traditional market.

Cava Train
In October 1,000 people from Barcelona board the Cava train bound for Sant Sadurní d'Anoia. Joined at the station by a hoard of carnival characters, including the prerequisite big heads and cabezudos, they are escorted with a glorious fanfare to the town hall and Cava Houses. After a tour of the cellars, followed by lunch and entertainment, they return to the Catalan capital.Public holiday in Spain.

Feria de San Lucas
15th-23rd October. Feria de San Lucas. Feria de San Lucas- Jaen's Major fiesta, dating back to the fifteenth century.

Spanish Jamon

Hispanidad is a nationwide fiesta commemorating Columbus's landing in America, which is particularly celebrated in Zaragoza.

Patron Saints Alodia and Nunilon
Huescar has two patron saints, Alodia y Nunilon. They had a Moorish father and a Christian mother and, according to legend, died as martyrs because they defended the Christian faith. They have a Hermitage in the mountains of the Sierra de la Sagra. This is the main festival in Huescar, with a typical fun fair, live music, open air dances, bars set up outside and bull fights.
